This Fall, bring your family down to Galveston for spooky haunts, tricks and treats!

October brings crisp weather, pumpkin spice everything and many spooky activities for all ages! Grab your ghost hunting equipment, pick out your best Halloween costume, load up the family and come to Galveston this Halloween! Galveston boasts a year round haunted house, graveyard tours of the oldest and most historic cemetery and even trick-or-treating at the oldest house in Galveston!

Galveston has long been rumored to house many spirits and, given the city’s rich history and older buildings, it would be no surprise if you bump into one while on a nightly tour of the oldest graveyard or inside one of the historic mansions that dot the island.

Beginning October 1st, The Hotel Galvez hosts their annual Ghost Tour & Dinner every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday through October 29th. On this guided tour you will learn about the ghostly past of Hotel Galvez followed by a delectable three course meal!

Bring the kiddos and check out the Moody Gardens Pumpkin Patch! This annual event begins October 5th where you can choose your perfect pumpkin, play some games and more. Into Art? ARToberFEST brings lots of arts and crafts to downtown Galveston the weekend of October 17th. This year marks the 34th Annual Galveston Island Oktoberfest, October 23rd & 24th, for live music, German food, arts, crafts and more, a must attend event!

Sunday, October 25th, Moody Gardens transforms for the annual Ghostly Gardens celebration! Bring the whole family for trick-or-treating, crafts, face painting and even a costume contest!

Like scary stories? Rosenberg Library plays host to Monsters, Ghosts, Skeletons and Creepy Characters on Thursday, October 29th so bring your kiddos for pumpkin carving, scary stories and snacks! Later that night, Ashton Villa begins guided tours for two nights only where you can learn about the life and possibly after-life, of the home’s Miss Bettie Brown.

Want to learn more about the Ghosts of Galveston’s past? Join the Living Dead Tour and learn about the history of some of Galveston’s most famous homes, lives and deaths during this hour long driving tour! Take a Graveyard Tour in the oldest cemetery in Galveston or explore Galveston’s harbor and learn about the tragedies & ghostly happenings on the bay!

Halloween festivities begin early on Galveston with the 5th Annual Saengerfest Park Mini Monster Bash. Fun for all ages - come trick-or-treat, play some games, get your face painted and more! At 5pm the Menard House, Galveston’s oldest home, will open its doors for trick-or-treating… don’t forget to bring your ghost hunting equipment, just in case!
