Grand Re-Opening and Ribbon Cutting CeremonyMarch 13, 2009
A grand re-opening/ribbon cutting ceremony for Ryson Real Estate and Vacation Rentals was held February 26, 2009 at their new suite location.
This company first opened their doors in 2006; the location being 61st Street, Suite 102. Due to Hurricane Ike, the entire strip mall area they occupied was extremely damaged. Instead of pulling up roots and giving up, co-owners Ryan Loofboro and Jason Keeling saw this as an opportunity and seized it. From Jason's own home, they continued business; assessing damages to the condos and beach houses and setting up what could be rented immediately. They found housing for displaced residents as well as FEMA workers to get the rebuilding of Galveston underway as quickly as possible. When all other real estate and vacation rental companies were still temporarily out of business and trying to get back up and running, Ryson Real Estate and Vacation Rentals was open and had available housing for just about anyone in need.
The corner office in the same strip mall, which is larger than their original space, was vacated, so they decided to move into it with full intentions of expanding their business; and they have done just that. They completely renovated it, making it a showplace and certainly an improvement for them and Galveston.
Present at the ribbon cutting ceremony were several Chamber of Commerce committee people as well as clients, friends and family. In the conference room were hors d'oeuvres catered by China Island restaurant, balloons, live music provided by the band Last Heros and a wonderful slide of the aftermath of Ike and the people in the community working to rebuild Galveston.
It is businesses' like Ryson Real Estate and Vacation Rentals, with their tenacity and energy, that will make Galveston an even bigger success!
