This year The Lone Star Rally will be celebrating its 6th year. This event is 4 days long, and has an expected turnout of almost 300,000 people. Not a biker? Well this event has something to offer to almost anyone looking for free entertainment. If fishing tournaments, poker runs and cruising on your bike along Galveston Island sounds like your kind of vacation, then you'll definitely be interested in The Lone Star Motorcycle Rally. This four day event is the ideal way for motorcycle buffs to get out and enjoy the leisure pursuit of riding with other compatible individuals. Two main stages have been set up, at Saengerfest Park and along the Seawall. These two hot-spots will collectively be hosting 29 Texas country, modern rock, classic rock, blues, and head-banging metal bands. There will be 33 shows throughout the week appropriate for the young, the old, and the young at heart. All of these events will be take place on the beautiful Island of Galveston. If you've had enough live music, poker, and free tours you can motor along the beach at a cool 77 degrees, as this month offers prime riding conditions. You will also find some Lone Star Rally featured events such as the Texas Custom Bike Show, roller derby, motorcycle "trick" show, monster truck rides, and a bikini contest!
